The Atlas Insider: These new Shoreditch restaurants are ready to satisfy diners hungry for more

November 14, 2017

The London Restaurant Festival (LRF) is the capital’s annual gourmet extravaganza. Now that it’s over, we’ve been scouring our neighbourhood for the best new restaurant openings. From street-food popups to Michelin-starred dining, Shoreditch is known as a foodie haven - and these new eateries are bound to be no exception!

So, to keep the feast going…

Bob Bob Exchange, The City

Bob Bob Exchange from Bob Bob Ricard will open in the Cheesgrater building (also known as the Leadenhall Building) next year. A restaurant with Russian roots, and gilded from top to bottom, Bob Bob Exchange will offer a seasonal menu that includes fish and meat grilled or smoked on site. Bob Bob Ricard is known for its celebrated ‘Press for Champagne’ buttons at each table and, happily, the Exchange will also be installing bubbly buttons! As novel as it is old world glamour, Bob Bob Exchange will be high-flying dining at its finest.

Passo, Old Street

Located on Old Street, Passo, will also be opening doors in November, offering up South Italian classics with a twist. Styled as an LA-style Italian eatery, diners can enjoy tapas-style sharing plates, as well as pizza and sumptuous larger mains. Not content with its 140 covers, the venue also boasts an impressive cocktail bar and will host DJs from Thursdays into the weekend. But if you’re after a quiet night in, never fear – Passo will also provide a casual take-away!

Chik'n Islington, Islington

Chik’n is already a fast food favourite. The latest branch of the ethical chicken shop is set to open this month on trendy Upper Street. The restaurant aims to take the guilt out of fried chicken by buying only high-quality, high-welfare birds and using only the best ingredients for the rest of its menu.

In keeping with its other restaurants, Chik'n Islington will also be ethically furnished using green materials and almost everything will be recycled. From the rapeseed oil used by the chefs for frying to the handmade potato burger buns, a meal here is as guilt free as fried chicken gets.
